Societe Anonyme (SA)

Also known as the Sociedad Anonima in Spanish speaking countries.

A limited liability corporation that requires a minimum of seven shareholders. The important characteristic of SAs set up under French or Spanish law is that the liability of the shareholder is limited up to the amount of their capital contribution.
