Memorandum of Association

The charter of a company that indicates the nationality, the nature of its business and the share capital it is authorised to issue. It is one of the documents required to incorporate a company in the United Kingdom, Ireland and India, and is also used in many of the common law jurisdictions of the Commonwealth. It effectively governs the company's relations with the outside world.
