Irrevocable Trust

A trust that may not be amended, changed, or revoked; i.e. the terms are permanent. This type of trust should be used only under special circumstances, such as when dealing with situations where completed gifts are required. Generally, irrevocable trusts cannot be used for r inter vivos (living) trusts situations.
